when put in context with the season of erd this came from, however, it kind of starts to make sense.
fall/winter 2019, stylized as automne/hiver 2019, was around when creative director henri alexander levy descended into the deepest recesses of his addiction.
after a slew of erratic behavior that few in the community are aware of, the brand began losing many of its most significant retailer partnerships, perhaps most notably with bergdorf goodman.
bro was so fried around this time he named this the "CHECKER BOARD HOODIE" when it's literally a chess board.
as such, the brand began to lose steam around this time with the majority of fashion consumers, who were casual, trend oriented clientele who bought what influencers and artists wore around this time.
without the direct access point of notable retailers, erd largely strugged to consistently get their items on the most influential figureheads of fashion at the time.
strangely enough, however, the product they were putting out was still, stronger than ever up to that point.
to this day, the pieces put out around this time are stilll definitive of "golden era" ERD, and their lack of popularity meant that many did not sell.
because they didn't sell, so many of erd's items from this era are still almost impossible to find.
even something as simple and beautifully executed as this logo hoodie.
in true ERD fashion, this is rarer than any logo release they've ever done.
and im selling it around original in season retail because fuck it.

i have two of the three of these there are on the market, and the other one is pristine with no graphic wear if that's more your vibe.
like always, but specifically in this case, good luck finding another.
